Throwback Thursday - NBA 2004-2005

Hello Uniform-heads,

For my first blog post, I would like to throw it back ten years.

The year is 2005, the Phoenix Suns are the number one seed overall, the MVP is Steve Nash, and there is still a team called the "Supersonics".  Notable Rookies include Dwight Howard, Ben Gordon, and Emeka Okafor of the brand new Charlotte Bobcats.  The uniforms have changed quite a bit since then and this post will look at each teams uniforms in that season, as well as my personal Top 10.

Let's Get Started!

And now for my personal Top 10

10. Milwaukee Bucks Road

- I Really wish the Bucks never changed these road jerseys, although I can see why because they look very dated compared to the current green jerseys they have now.

9. Philadelphia 76ers Road
- The cut-off style sleeves really set this one apart for me.  A rare instance where a player and jersey really go hand in hand (Iverson).

8. Utah Jazz Alternate
- It's an unwritten rule that any sports uniform in light blue looks great, and these are no exception.  Utah should go back to these at least for a one-time thing.

7. New Orleans Hornets Alternate

- Remember when the basketball team in New Orleans wasn't a Pelican? How about when they went to play in Oklahoma City during Hurricane Katrina?  Strange times...

6. Cleveland Cavaliers Alternate

- LeBron would wear these as he would kill my Bulls at home.  Brings back the good ole days when he couldn't win a championship...

5.  Dallas Mavericks Road

- Dallas will be going to something like this in a couple years, but they really never should've changed them.

4. Denver Nuggets Alternate

- I owned one of these bad boys, so this jersey will always hold a special place in my heart.

3. Golden State Warriors Road

- What's not to love here? Golden State now is all about bright colors and shooting threes, but 10 years ago, it was all about dark blue and orange and winning dunk contests. Another reason why I enjoyed the NBA more back then.

2.  Minnesota Timberwolves Alternate

-Kevin Garnett in black, another example of a player and jersey fitting perfectly.  Hopefully he gets traded back to his former team.

1.  Toronto Raptors Road

- Wayyyyyy ahead of its time. A purple front and a black back??? Are you kidding me?!?! Without a doubt, my favorite jersey 10 years ago, if not, ever.  I also had this jersey.  I remember watching the 2000 dunk contest when I was a kid and being blown away by Vince Carter's dunks, but also by these jerseys.  Any team with a dinosaur and purple I am 100% supportive of.  If anybody from Toronto sees this, please go back to these...
