On Sunday, the MLB season officially began in a construction zone on West Addison Street (Wrigley Field). This can only mean one thing for those obsessed with sports uniforms - new looks for several teams in the 2015 season. Unfortunately, there are no major overhauls to look forward to. However, there are a handful of minor changes that might go otherwise unnoticed. Without further ado, let's step up to the plate and see these changes.
Arizona Diamondbacks
The D-backs will bring these original jerseys back as an alternate for a few games this year.
Miami Marlins
The Marlins will get rid of their seldom used orange caps and wear their road grays that they barely touched.
Minnesota Twins
New York Mets
The Metropolitans are getting rid of their plain blue piped home jerseys and instead adding a blue pinstripe home jersey.
Pittsburgh Pirates
The Swashbucklers are going to add this camo monstrosity to their arsenal as an alternate.
San Francisco Giants
The defending World Champion Giants are adding this black top as an alternate. Should be a sharp look for a night game.
Seattle Mariners
Seattle is bringing back their old colors in this cream colored alternate. Very cool look!
St. Louis Cardinals
No changes for the Cards, but they are adding a memorial patch to honor Oscar Tavares, a promising prospect out of the Dominican Republic, who was tragically killed in a car accident last October.
That's it for now in baseball uniform news, but expect for some teams to release some more uniform information throughout the year!
